This year, APM and ATM students from Cranfield University are aiming to raise money for Aviation Without Borders.

What is aviation without Borders?

Aviation Without Borders (AWB) is a unique UK aviation charity that provides humanitarian assistance to those in need through aviation services. Some of their latest projects include a shipment of 1.5 tonnes of medical packs to Juba in South Sudan to donate to International Medical Corp for medical support to the sick and injured in the war region, and the support to the operation of two Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft in Africa to provide vital air support.

AWB also organises a National Fly Kids Day in the UK where on one day in June each year we fly up to 500 deserving and disadvantaged children throughout the country. The kids are invited to local airports for the day by participating flying clubs, from Aberdeen in the north to Southampton in the south, and are shown round the airport, given a talk on aircraft and flying and are taken on a short flight.

How are we going to help?

We are organising a Charity Auction the 26th of April at 19:30 in the CSA. We will be selling from plane tickets to aircraft models. You are all invited and you can bring whoever you want with you. The more the merrier!
