A bit about the charity:

Healthy Minds is Calderdale’s only specialist mental health charity and offers a range of services to help people of all ages achieve and maintain good mental health. Among these is a new pilot initiative called ‘’SafeSpace’’ which gives easy-to-access out of hours support on weekend-evenings for people experiencing mental distress or approaching crisis. This is a long-awaited and much-needed service in Calderdale as NHS crisis services can be thin on the ground and difficult to access, particularly at weekends. Already high demand for Healthy Minds’ services is increasing and the charity has very limited resources to try to meet demand. Having recently moved into new premises to accommodate Safespace, there is still work required on the building, as well as ensuring safe levels of trained staff and volunteers to support people in distress.”
