Story
On 10 November, very bright and early, the children of Years 5&6 will run with hundreds of other children from Bromley schools in a challenging cross country course of just under 2km. The conditions are usually cold, wet and muddy and many of the children are not strong runners. The course is difficult - more than many adults could cope with - let alone young children! But these children are full of energy and determination, and they now need your support to encourage them in their challenge as they run for their school - not just to win the race but to raise much needed funds for our PTA.
St Nicks has an impressive record in the competition of winning the small schools trophy, and this time the runners of Years 5&6 will be trying to do this again. The more children that run the more chance we have of winning, and the more money we can raise for this fantastic cause which all our children will benefit from via the PTA.
Many of the children have been training hard on Friday lunchtimes for several months, and also in class lessons, with great commitment to improving their fitness and running.
If you would like to encourage the children with their challenge, please do sponsor them. They would be grateful for any donation however small. Every penny counts.
With many thanks from the Year 5&6 Runners!
