Story
My WIFE - The strongest and kindest person I know but now had a stroke making lifechanging times for 2 children and herself. She is our ROCK and now we need to learn to be hers.
Always sees the best in situations and others, willing to help no matter what, but now this tragic event leaves us to pick up the pieces. Slowly but surely we pray normality sets in.
Recently on 24 November my wife had a stroke in front of my son. She is such an energetic person who sees the best in every situation and being; and I often wonder why such things happen to lovely people like my wife. She is such a family person and looks out for everyone. She also donates to many charities so I am now tring to do the same for her as well as those providing the wonderful care she is receiving.
I am not sure how this will change our lives but I do know that she will receive all the love and care from her loved ones and our two lovely kittens. Right now we feel our lives have been shattered and moreso my wifes’
Being such a young age, we are all being positive and just want her back home. Trying to plan ahead to make all things comfortable for my wife, we are hoping to raise enough for a stairlift and wheelchair. Also in addition to that, we can see that the wonderful physiotherapists are doing their best but with limited equipment. So we are also trying to raise as much as possible to donate to the stroke ward/department for the wonderful and caring work they do.
my mum and brother-in-law both suffered major strokes a few years back and unfortunately both are no longer with us. So in their memory as well, we wish to raise money for donating to this special unit at Northwick Park.
On average a stairlift would cost around £5,000 and the equipment used for physiotherapy we have no idea about; but assume it would be expensive. The more we receive, the more we can donate.
Please donate generously, not only to help us in reliving our lives normally as best we can but also helping others in coping with theirs after such a lifechanging event.
Please spread the word as many small steps make up one huge leap.
GOD BLESS you all
