I teach Maths in a secondary school with a large hearing impaired department and high rates of SEND students. We set high expectations of all of our students and assist them to succeed in their secondary education.

When writing on the whiteboard it is hard to for some students to focus when I am having to keep turning away from them and we lack resources to continually buy markers. It will enhance the teaching I can do in my lessons to improve the outcomes of all of my classes. I have a visually impaired student and several students who would benefit from bold and clean notes that could be projected.

Students and teacher using a visualiser would be better to be able to see notes and they could show solutions to the class in a high tech manner that seems to better engage students.

I believe my students would be more engaged in lessons using this technology. I could use interesting resources and the students could bring in articles, graphs and math related information from the Internet, newspapers etc. and display and explain what they have learned without having to copy class sets.
