    Story

CSWBC: Over twelve weeks, eight children have written eight very different and very wonderful children stories, which shall be self-published into an anthology titled Children’s Stories Written By Children.

As part of my Creative Writing Masters at UOB, I have been teaching eight KS2 children at Woodingdean Primary School, how to plan, write, edit and publish their own children's stories. The next step is self-publishing the collection into an anthology titled Children’s Stories Written by Children. To do this I need all the help I can get, I need to raise £200 for initial printing costs, so I can keep my promise of publishing these children's stories into a bound book, with the help of the fabulous graphic designer Kewita Bassi. Kewita also a UOB student, shall be designing a beautiful jacket design for the book. My aim is to have the stories completed by the end of April and off to printers by the 19th of May. I am then holding a Summer Fete in Woodingdean, where the children will read out their stories and people can buy a copy of the book. All proceeds from the fete and from book sales shall then being going to Samara's Appeal, click the link to read her story.

Whether it's £2 or £20 whatever you have spare could you please donate via this Just Giving page to help make this project happen. I hope you can see from this bio that this project is not only positive because the proceeds are going to a fantastic locally run charity with a really important cause, but that this is a project which is about inspiring our young generation to be passionate about literature and increase their literacy skills through the joy, which creative writing brings.
