Story
Cycle To Sweden Challenge
This summer, Hartley Wintney under 13’s are travelling to Gothenburg, Sweden to take part in the Gothia Cup, the world‘s largest youth football tournament. Over 1700 teams from more than 80 nations are due to participate this summer. After a hugely successful season in the Junior Premier League, this is a massive opportunity for the boys to showcase their talents on an international stage.
To raise money for their trip, the boys will be taking part in an extremely challenging team event in June. They will be attempting to ‘Cycle To Sweden’ and each cycle over 30 miles to achieve the 600 mile distance between Stansted Airport and Gothenburg as a team.
This ‘Cycle To Sweden’ challenge is one that the boys are looking forward to and one which they want to undertake, despite the challenge, to enable them to have a fantastic time in Sweden.
Please feel free to ask the boys questions about what they hope to achieve from their time at the Gothia Cup and about the opportunity itself.
Thanks in advance for your kind support.
