We have entered a relay team of two people into the Belfast marathon in May and we would love to get some sponsors for this. Andrew Penney will be running legs 2, 3 and 4, which totals 13.4 miles, and Becca Kidd will be running legs 1 and 5. Any money we raise will go to Cystic Fibrosis Trust and back into the Queen’s Sailing Club.

We want to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust because Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic lung condition that affects 10,400 people in the UK, including our wonderful captain, Tom. Cystic Fibrosis Trust is an organisation that gives support to families who are affected by CF and also funds life-changing research. We also want to raise money for our club. Over the last year, we have been able to buy 6 firefly dinghies and in the last month have bought 6 brand new sets of sails to go with them. However, we still need to do repairs on the boats before our first ever Alumni Event in June.
