The Type One Locomotive Co. Ltd, owners of ex-BR Class 31 Diesel Locomotive No. D5830, have received a pledge of match-funding of £5,000 towards the planned engine overhaul of the locomotive. For each £1 raised through this appeal, an anonymous benefactor will match it with £1 up to a maximum of £5,000. These funds will then be ring-fenced exclusively for this project. The match-funding offer applies to all new donations received between now and the end of April 2019 - any donations received after this date and/or those received after the total of £5,000 has been reached will still be added to the ring-fenced funds but will not be eligible for match-funding.
