My daughter is my everything. Sadly her mum and I separated a couple years ago, but continues to co parent. She was my best friend and our primary focus was the wellbeing of our daughter.
She cares for her aging mother, so decided to move 300 miles away to be nearer her brother who could assist with this care. I commited to move too, but because of my incurable illness, I am permanently on benefits and live permanently under the breadline, which has meant subsidising my living costs with small jobs of gardening and dog walking. I also volunteer for MIND to give back to the community.
3 months ago they all moved. She suggested I pack all my belongings and include them in the removal van they hired. I kept a couple changed of clothing and a set of cutlery and crockery to tie me over for the 6 weeks until I moved down too. She offered to cover my rent and deposit to get a flat nearby until my benefits were transfered over. It was at that point that things changed. My ex renaged on her offer to help financially, leaving me 250 miles away from my daughter.
When I tried. To contact her she reported me for harassment. She then said I could Skype with my daughter. When I tried to do this, she refused, saying my daughter didn't want to see me. I questioned this, so she said that she wanted to see daddy in person. Being the spontaneous father I am. I borrowed money to drive down to see her. On arrival she called the police and said I was harassing her, despite numerous emails saying I was coming down to see her. She had me arrested and put in prison for 5 weeks. As a result, my benefits ceased and I ran into arrears on my current flat.
I now have no income, awaiting reinstatement of my benefits and can't feed.myself, let alone move to be near my daughter.
All I need is to be able to put a deposit on a flat there and cover my first month's rent.
I have no family who can help, so I'm pleading for someone to help me be with my daughter.
