The Hindu, Christian and Buddhist civilians of Myanmar are currently suffering in the aftermath of a humanitarian crisis. Whilst the main stream media are focused on the plight of the Rohingya, little attention is given to the ordinary people of Myanmar who have been displaced, injured or who have suffered injustice.

This crowd fund aims to raise £10,000 to provide short-term financial support, food, water and medicines to the people of Myanmar.

Rohingya Muslim militants in Myanmar killed dozens of Hindu civilians during attacks last August, according to an investigation by Amnesty International. The group called Arsa killed up to 99 Hindu civilians in one, or possibly two massacres, said the rights group. The money raised on this page will go towards helping the families and communities of these victims.

As a private individual at least 85% of the total raised will go directly to the people of Myanmar. With no overheads, no premises to pay for or expensive executive salaries, more of your contributions can go directly to the victims of this tragedy. The remaining 10% will be used for logistical and administrative purposes. 5% of donations go to 'Just Giving' as an administration fee.
