I have entered to do a 10k run in Pilling on the 29th September and I am looking for sponsors to raise money for research into NF1. This condition has affected a friends daughter whose brother plays football with my boy.

NF1 (Neurofibromatosis Type 1) is a complicated condition that can affect people in many different ways with varying degrees of severity and no predictability. From tumours in various places which are often impossible to remove surgically without causing significant damage, to vision problems, low muscle tone, hypermobility, to learning difficulties, the list could go on. The condition receives very minimal funding in the UK, despite the fact it affects 1 in every 3,000 people. The NF1 Army campaign was set up to raise £100,000 which will go directly to the NF1 team at Manchester Childrens Hospital to fund much needed research that will hopefully one day help to treat this condition.
