Hi my name is Maryam that is my muslim name. I converted to islam over a year ago from Christianity. I got married since I was 17 yrs old. I never knew my father and my mother I have not seen her for many many yrs not by choice but because apparently I am too religious and now that I am a muslim I am totally isolated off from them but its what they wanted. My husband divorced me when I chose islam with his 4 children who are also muslims too...that was 4yrs ago. I have never complained in doing this journey on my own but it was rough as my ex cheated on me througout the marriage and even had kids by other woman. So Alhamdulillah Allah heard my cries and my pain and saved me from a life of sadness and uncertainty when He showed me the light to islam.

I met a muslim man about 1 yrs ago after I converted to islam who loves his family very much and although they are poor in material wealth I envy the richness they all have in taqwa and Deen. This family have send me the quran all the way from their country to the UK Alhamdulillah. He has taught me how to pray when we skype and he even reads the quran to me in arabic which I love even though I do not understand arabic but the most beautiful thing of all is that he has also brought my children to Shahada and they are now muslims too. As you may know it is very difficult to get visa for my country for most arabic and musim nations...so the best option we have researched is to obtain the 4 tier study visa or to be sponsored by someone or hired by a company on a work contract who sometimes may offer to sponsor the individual. We have researched all of this and tried everthing but i am a singel mum and I cannot afford to help him and as I have already said I don’t have any family to help me out. This muslim brother is hard working and have a job but in his country what he makes in a month we make in less than a week here in salary . What I have asked to be raised is far less than what we really need but In Shaa Allah we can save the rest maybe in the next few yrs whilst we wait for each other.

I know this is not an emergency or humbling enough like alot of people out there who are in great need but I can assure you since I came to islam I have been supporting a great muslim organisation for the poor and destitute Subhan Allah and I will continue. I am just hoping and praying that someone who have the financial resorces will see my story, and do a good deed for their Akirah and contact me to confirm my story...i have no problem doing that. My gratitude will be eternal for anyone who decides to help a brother and sister out to come together so we can marry and be a family and be blessed by the Grace and Mercy of Allah Subhana Wa ta ‘ala.
