In the Madre de Dios area of Peru, biodiversity is under threat from logging (single trees can be worth 1000's of dollars), illegal poaching, gold mining; not to mention great areas of land being cleared to raise cattle for burgers and steaks... the Bahuaja Conservation Area is home to pristine rainforest, and an incredible variety of animal and plant life... it is also home to several projects including educational initiatives... in this way, the intention is to protect this piece of land, and others like it, also preserving traditional ways of life... this land is close to my heart, and I hope that it touches you also... we have ONE WORLD, and we are ONE PEOPLE... your donation will greatly help the continuation of this project, which continues to require financial support... for this, I shall be dancing what is known as a LONG DANCE in Late June / early July, a coming together in deep prayer and movement for 72 hours (22 hours a day), fasting, praying, and raising money and awareness for Amazon Advocacy.... this is my chosen project or cause for this year... any and all support is gratefully received and will be channelled into this most important of causes....
