Hi Guys,

as many of you are aware I volunteer as a community first responder for East Midlands Ambulance Service. Unfortunately as a Volunteer Responder I have to provide all my own personal protective equipment which is rapidly needing replacing due to general wear and tear.

At the moment I need to replace boots that have ended up with a hole in them and a Soft-shell jacket more suitable for the winter months which is my busiest time for responding. The cost of the basic uniform is unfortunately £150 and I’m really hoping to save this before the winter so i can carry on responding to 999 calls in Derby and the surrounding areas. I am appealing for the help of you generous people to keep me out on the road when the long cold nights kick in.
