    Story

    Hi guys!

So as some of you know I've decided to use my opportunity of an elective placement to go abroad to Nepal in the city of Kathmandu. During this placement I shall be placed in a hospital to work as a full time physiotherapist with little resources and to test my working ability, whilst having to learn a new language and tradition.

Living in the UK we are sometimes oblivious to how fortunate we are to have such a high standard of healthcare in the form of the NHS & I think it would be truly amazing if I could put to use the skills I have learnt over my past 3 years of studying, to help those who are less fortunate and less likely to get a reasonable level of musculoskeletal rehabilitation. My hope with this fundraising is to help cover some of the costs of going out there but more importantly give something back to the people of Kathmandu that could eventually help improve their healthcare! My current ideas are include providing some Theraband and Goniometers with other exercise equipment but I am open to other suggestions as well.

I'd greatly appreciate any donations, no matter how small as I really hope this can make me a better physiotherapist when I come back but also a better person through helping others!

    Thanks,

    Daniel Sabiiti

Hi Guys, just wanted to give an update about where all your donations went. As well as helping pay for my working visa, I managed to donate over £450 worth of Therabands and Grip balls to the Tribuhvan Hospital physiotherapist department! Majority were locally sourced to help the local economy as well! I’d just want to thank everyone who donated for their help yet again. I’m so glad I’ve got so many amazing people in my life! Here’s a little preview of some of the ones I donated.
