Hello, those who know me know how much I love football and I love coaching and training the children at Beccles Town Football Club. I see Futsal as a massive development tool for all footballers and it’s a great game in its own right. I am desperate to bring Futsal back to Beccles but in order for me to do this I would like the goal posts to make set up and put away much easier and allow us to run proper competitions too.

I’m not going to jump out of an aeroplane this time to raise this money but I will be dedicating many, many hours of my free time to making sure ALL the children at our club benefit. The goals will also be there for use by other teams and the Sir John Leman High School so they can run their own lessons and competitions.

Futsal is a variant of association football played on a hard court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It can be considered a version of five-a-side football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper.

Futsal has huge amount of benefits, including the following.

It allows players to frequently touch the ball many times,

It is very economical and safe, and simple and fun to play,

Futsal presents many opportunities to score goals and score goals often,

The game encourages regaining possession of the ball as a fun and rewarding part of the game (defending),

It maximizes active participation and minimizes inactivity and boredom,

Futsal provides a well organized playing environment with improvised fields,

It reflects the philosophy of player development: be creative, good ball control and technical skill, agility, lightning reflexes and decision making,

Finally it eliminates complicated rules such as off-sides that may hinder youngsters from playing regular football

Please help me make this happen and come along to enjoy watching your children play.
