Every 4 years the Scout Association holds a World Scout Jamboree where Scouts from all over the world are invited to attend for an experience of a lifetime. The young people are selected by their respective Districts to represent them at the World Scout Jamboree. Each individual is encouraged to fundraise their own Jamboree Fee.

By a similar process each group of Scouts is supported and accompanied by a number of Leaders, who also have to fundraise their fee. Back in late 2017, I was lucky enough to be selected as one of the Leaders to take a group of Scouts from Kent to the next World Scout Jamboree in North America in July 2019. I thought I would be able to pay my own fee, however, I have left it late, but I am looking to raise as much as I can against my own fee to be able to take these lucky individuals to America this summer.

The fee will cover transport to and from the Jamboree site, tented accommodation and all food for the duration of the jamboree, and a number of other jamboree related events before and after the jamboree.
