My best friend decided she wanted to leave a controlling relationship, because of this the father of their 2 children is refusing to pay any maintenance for them! His excuse ... I don't need to, that's what you get tax credits for! She's currently studying to become a nurse so she can better the lives of her children, but is behind on her course fees. She's had to use the little money she gets on bills and food rather than for her course. Sh3 now faces being kicked off the course for being behind but will still have to pay for the course! And now she being sanctioned on her money because she couldn't attend a job centre appointment because she was at college! They initially accepted this but have now decided it wasn't a good enough reason!!
I've been where she is now and ended up having a nervous breakdown because of It, I tried desperately to end my life, thinking that my children would be better off with their dad, who could afford to look after our children! I'm not in that place anymore, it was a long slow road to recovery but I can't bare to watch someone else go through the same thing.
