I am running the Leeds Half Marathon this year for a cause very close to my heart.

Most of you will know that my good friends Hannah and Ian have been sharing their journey on social media of their premature twins Penny and Pippa. Sadly little Pippa didn't make it and they have decided to honour her memory and start a non profit organisation that raises funds to support neonatal units across Yorkshire. The twins stayed at no fewer that three different units across the region and Hannah and Ian want to make sure that parents like them receive the best care and support at such a difficult time.

Last year £16000 was raised by them and several family and friends through a number of fundraisers and that has already been put to great use in the neonatal units in Leeds (see their social media for details). Lets keep that going this year and help them in their goal to create care packages for parents with children on neonatal wards that will contains things like toiletries, premature baby milestone cards, bonding squares and adult colouring books.

With this in mind there will be a small handful of us running and raising money for Pipsqueaks at the Leeds Half Marathon. I have done a couple of 10k's before but never a Half, and it is safe to say I am very nervous. Please help me get over that finish line and raise some money for such a good cause.
