Story
Hi all . Myself and my Friend Natalie are doing a 12000ft tandem skydive on the 29th of september to raise money for a new wheelchair for a young lad named Mackie . For those of you who knows Mackie you will know how much Mackie relies on his wheelchair in every aspect of his life. His chair gives him independence at home, at school and even gives him the ability to play power chair football. For those that don’t know Mackie let me tell you a bit about him and his condition. Mackie is a happy, confident 8 year old boy but unfortunately he has a condition called SMA type 2 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). SMA is a muscle wasting condition that affects all of his limbs and takes away his ability to walk, crawl and even sit unaided. As you can imagine the electric wheelchair is Mackie’s lifeline. Unfortunately, his new chair comes at quite a cost and this is where I'm hoping you can help. Myself and Natalie would be so grateful if you could sponsor us for our skydive. A donation of any size would be greatly appreciated. We understand that not everyone is in a position to donate so even a simple share of this just giving page would be amazing and really help us out! Let give this lad a bright future.
