Our daughter Darcie was born with a rare condition called Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome)

Most babies with this don’t often make it to birth or pass shortly after. Darcie is nearly 7 months old now and proving to be quite unique. 

She has had a number of things which require a lot of hospital visits to different hospitals. Primarily these are Great Ormond Street, Addenbrookes, Lister and QE2. 

The distances travelled means our old Zafira is not going to last much longer, replacing it is easier said than done. We weren’t expecting Darcie to be born with the condition she has been born with, which has meant staying off work longer than planned.  

We would love to buy a reliable vehicle for these journeys and be able to keep Darcie fighting. We spend so much time worrying about her, that not having to worry about the journeys to hospital with our precious cargo would be a great relief.
