We hear a lot about and have compassion for the homeless children, however it rarely comes to our mind that the reason for so many abandoned kids is the parent’s mental breakdown that lead to alcohol or drug addiction.

Drug addiction is not a joke and may happen to anyone. As a family we have been battling against it for years and tried a lot of specialist centers with no success, until we found The Ark .

This is the charitable Christian organisation which takes no fees for helping people to become free from addiction and showing them a different way. It is such a joy to see completely broken people starting to realize life purpose and become a valuable member of the society.

The Ark helps the local community by building and on-going support of an Orphanage as well as giving a hand to local households and businesses when it comes to maintenance and construction. I have uploaded a short video in English for you to see the charity's reflection on 2018.

Any funds raised will go towards helping the centre to continue to support those who go to them for support and pay their energy bill which grew exponentially due to economy issues in Ukraine. To give you a gist – they have to pay about £1500 a month to keep the building warm which is an unbearable cost even in the UK reality.

This is a part of a bigger fundraising campaign to get the funds for installing the Renewable Energy device called heat pump into the premises of the center as well as setup of the business to promote this Eco-friendly technology in the area.

My brother is a nuclear engineer who is passionate about alternative sources of energy and helping local community to massively cut down their energy bill. He is currently studying to become a qualified engineer for the heat pump manufacturing company in order to serve their local community together with the fellow members of The Ark.
