As a pastoral manager at a secondary school I have seen an increase in anxiety and mental health problems in our young people over the years. Drugs are becoming more prevelant with young people experimenting more than ever. With goverment cut backs in mental health and social care more and more of our young generation are being forgotten about and have no direction. I have suffered with deppresion and the only way I coped was by going to the gym, I am now a keen powerlifter. I want to encourage young people into our local gym and give them encouragement , guidance and professional support to raise their own self esteem and give them a belief in themselves that they can achieve.To accomplish this I need to raise the £250 for the Level 1 coaching qualification with British Powerlifting. I am very passionate to support our young people and want to make a change.
