I AM WALKING HADRIAN’S WALL....THIS IS WHY.....

Incredibly, even today, Children Having Eating Worries are unable to get the support and care they so urgently require. NHS CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) do not have the funding or resources required to help - and they currently respond to requests for help from those in need by pointing families to online books and publications. Children feel isolated and helpless. Parents feel abdandoned and desperate. This is NOT how we should be helping little people with mental health challenges.

Having seen the problems faced by children and families myself, I want to help at least one child get the initial professional care they require.....and so I shall soon be walking Hadrian’s Wall (just me and the tent!).

A Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Psychotherapist (Family Specialist) based in London and Basingstoke has agreed to be part of this, and she will help us get the necessary immediate care to a child whose circumstances would otherwise prevent them getting this level of care.

Making a difference to at least one child’s life and wellbeing, to help them get back on track and start enjoying family life again, will be spurring me on during my journey.
