I believe that education is vital and as Nelson Mandela quoted 'It is NOT beyond our power to create a world in which all children have access to a good educatioIn June/ July I will be volunteering at a School in Kerala, india with over 900 students working with and teaching children who are orphans and who don't get the chance to learn.. It is known that children's opportunities to receive an education, especially in third world countries such as India, can vary as their lives can be shaped by unequal treatment and discrimination because of family background and personal characteristics. My team and I plan to do this by stimulating the children's minds through educational lessons we plan ourselves in various subjects, teaching them life skills and encouraging them to take part in fun extracurricular activities throughout our stay. We will leave the school making a positive long-lasting impact on their view towards education. I aim to raise as much money as possible for these children and any donation, big or small (a little goes a long way) will be greatly appreciated :) I will be funding the trip myself and there are zero administration costs resulting in all money fundraised going directly to the school for various different supplies in order to provide the basic necessity of education for the children.
