    Story

    ALICE WASNT POORLY!
She had an MRI to see if she had water on the brain, due to a very common side effect of growth hormone, under general anaesthetic because she would not have liked the machine
During the MRI her heart rate went sky high then plummeted a number of times and her blood pressure fell through the floor.
She suffered a catastrophic lack of oxygen to her brain which shut down her organs. She held on for 3 days when they told us she was going to die only 7 hours later.
She was never put on a heart monitor before the anaesthetic! And so they didn't know her heart was completely deformed and wouldn't survive a anaesthetic.
Because of this she went in singing laughing walking being funny and had not come home.
The right checks were not done and she was never put on a heart monitor before she was given a general anaesthetic. R
Our daughter had another very common side effect from growth hormone which was a hypertrophic heart ( enlarged heart) with very thick walls, which was massively deformed and was not working normally and hasn't been for years . No one new because no one listened to us for years when we asked if her growth hormones would effect her heart .
it's was never checked in the 7 years she was prescribed growth hormone.
our baby has been taken from us.
They also. May have missed the fact that she had a form of turners syndrome, which we thought she has had all her life which I have told her doctors for years. This syndrome they are investigating she may have is noonan syndrome. That can be diagnosed in her blood!! She has had plenty of bloody tests.
There will be a massive investigation to discover what went wrong at Torbay! Because she had no montor before being anaesthetised .
Bristol children's hospital icu with the best doctors in the country did the most they could to try and save her but she had too much damage due to the mistakes
Our daughter has died and we don't want another family to suffer how we are right now .
