On Sunday mornings I can be found coaching the 4-10 year old mini rugby players at North Shields rugby club.
We started our new youth rugby section in October 2017. We now have 30 players between the ages of 4 and 10 attending and we desperately need to raise funds for new team strips and training equipment. This will allow us to expand further.
To do this I am taking part in this year‘s RideLondon-Surrey 100 cycle event on Sunday 4th August. This is a 100 mile cycle ride from London, through Surrey and back. There‘s a couple of hill climbs to tackle and the route finishes on the Mall. I will also be doing this sporting our club colours of blue and white!
This is the biggest physical challenge I have attempted as this is the cycling version of a marathon!
