I have been lucky enough to gain a place in the 2019 London Marathon and will be running in memory of my cousin Stephen Lyness, who sadly passed away in his sleep on his 18th birthday in 2004 from a condition known as SADS - Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. I will be raising money for The Stephen Lyness Memorial Fund, which to date has raised nearly 100k and helps fund research into SADS, as well as providing defibrillators to local sports clubs and schools, and training in order to help counteract the SADS condition.
