Often, when we see fire engines, police cars, ambulances and other public service vehicles, we feel a sense of pride for those who dedicate there lives to helping others. However, I'm often led wondering who could help the emergency services when they are struggling. PTSD999 is the only organisation in the country that dedicates its time to support all members of the emergency services and there family and friends. Specifically, the organisation helps those who are suffering with symptoms of PTSD by hiring doctors, administrators and trustees who also suffer from it (and have previously worked in the emergency service or the military), and provides Trauma Response Awareness Training, Psychological Health and Safety, assessment and treatment of PTSD, which gives them a unique understanding into how it feels to live with PTSD. PTSD999 is entirely funded by private donations which gives me the reassurance that every penny is going to those in need. However, since they are run on private donations, i ask you to donate in any way you can so that we can give back to the emergency services and give those suffering with PTSD hope, as they have given us in our times of need.
