Story

I'm riding the Seashell Trust's cycling sportive and want to raise some money to help support them.

The Seashell Trust are a Manchester-based charity providing a creative, happy and secure environment for children and young adults with complex and severe learning disabilities which include little or no language abilities.

I'll be cycling 170 kilometres / 105 miles with around 2800 metres of climbing in the hills of the Peak District.

Well, that was quite a day out! A challenging day due to some extreme weather. Very, very, very wet. And we clocked up 3300 metres of leg-busting hill climbing rather than the advertised 2700! Despite the gruesome weather it was a great day and the event was really well organised by the Seashell Trust with well-stocked feed stations and amusing motivational quotes on the longer climbs. I'd like to thank everyone for their generous donations that I'll now pass on to Seashells.
