    Story

    The reason behind the why......

Voices for Autism are gearing up for their next challenge. If you have been following Voices for Autism for the last three years, you will know everything that has been ploughed into the organisation has been raised through fundraising.

A lot of time, money and effort goes into keeping the organisation alive and here we are again, raising monies to do just that for the year ahead.

On Saturday 4th May 2019, 15+ Autism Warriors (including me) will be putting our best foot forward and completing Tough Mudder, we have started training and intend to raise lots of money for a great cause.

Here is why I shall be participating in Voices for Autism fundraiser again:

The non-profit organisation has been created because of a young man named Tegan. Tegan who is now almost 18 years old was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder when he was 11 years old. Tegan's mum felt that there was hardly any support within the community to learn about the condition and meet others on the same journey. Voices for Autism has been running since 2015 offering a support network for families of those living with Autism in London.

They offer monthly coffee mornings along with workshops educating families and local businesses. It is our aim to spread Autism Awareness wherever we can.

This year, their vision is still very much the same. It is to keep on raising the awareness about Autism, bringing the community together in a non-judgmental environment and also creating meaningful friendships between families. Your donations will help:

    - Maintain our monthly coffee mornings

    - Create and maintain social clubs for young people

    - Subsidise workshops for families

    - Cover costs for venue hire

    - Exhibiting at more events

    - Guest speakers

    - Reaching more families in and around London

    - Purchasing more equipment to run monthly clubs

    - Make a difference in the world of Autism

Voices for Autism have done some amazing work in the community and beyond, they are not ready to stop doing what they do, especially because there is a need for it all.

Please help them to continue doing a great job. You can find out more about the organisation by visiting their website www.voicesforautism.co.uk

    Thanks for your support!
