Story
If someone suffers a cardiac arrest in our community, they have a 1 in 20 chance of survival.
If a Defibrillator and CPR is used, they now have a 1in 5 chance of suviving and returning to their loved ones.
Many cardiac arrests happen in public places and without the action of bystanders, the ability of our emergency services to revive these people deminishes. We need the public in our community to help and take action, grab these devices off a wall and try to give a casualty a second chance at life.
We all need to play our part and these Defibrillators are the tools we need, on every streeet corner and in our public spaces.
Please help us to continue to save lives in Deal with these vital Life-saving devices..

4 years agoThank you to everyone who has donated so far. This project continues but we are on a slight hold awaiting a meeting with Deal Town Council to approve the adoption of the kiosk. If this doesn't get approval an AED will still be purchased & located in a cabinet at the Saracens head pub but ideally we are in hope that the TC will agree to adopt this iconic telephone kiosk for alternative use as a life saving hub for this defibrillator. I'm sure once we know either way, it will be full steam ahead with lots of fund raising initiatives. Thank you

I've shared this appeal. If more people could give just 10 or 20 pounds we could achieve this really quickly! Would be great if the phonebox on the roundabout in Deal could also be transformed!
