Hello and thank you for visiting my justgiving page. I am hoping to raise £200 to split between different cancer charities related to the different cancers I have had.

1995 saw my first cancer diagnosis, a rare form of breast cancer made more difficult to treat as I was only 26. Surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy were thrown at me and I beat the odds and kicked its butt!

2005 brought a second primary breast cancer diagnosis in the opposite breast. More surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy were endured and again I proved stronger than the cancer and was declared cancer free.

In 2016 I was dumbfounded when I received my third primary cancer diagnosis, this time it was ovarian cancer. I had major surgery and more chemotherapy. Sadly this is harder to beat than the breast cancers I have had and, in November 2017, I was told that the cancer had returned and spread to my liver and right kidney. A fourth regime of chemotherapy was given. I am now stage four, incurable, but by no means untreatable.

Throughout the last 24 years I have been helped by various cancer charities and seen great strides made in diagnosis and treatments thanks to research also funded by these charities. I am banking on their ongoing support as I move from one treatment regime to the next to enable me to live as full a life as possible for as long as possible.

Any donations made to mark my 51st birthday on 18th April will be shared between three cancer charities and my local hospice.
