Story
My heart is breaking today as I got the results of tests from the vet which Jackson my 6 month old beautiful pug pup has to have Spinal Surgery for Genetic defect that he was born with! Spinal Arachnoid Diverticula Cyst (in his spinal column) Now I have to raise thousands of pounds if I want to save him from being paralysed. My other option is to have him euthanised before he loses the power in his hind quarters. I am launching this Just Giving page for Jackson's surgery and post operative care. Tests to date have cost in excess of £1500 and I need to raise another £5000 for the surgery. My heart has been breaking for over two weeks now since he started dragging his back legs and it has taken an MRI scan to determine the cause. I am heart broken but determined to see him sorted so he can enjoy his life

6 years agoThank you all - Jackson met his surgeons today and he has made a miraculous recovery 7 weeks after his Spinal Surgery. We are closing the page today. I have been humbled by the support and love received. Debbie, Pugsley and wee Jackson 💕

6 years agoUpdate: Jackson continues to recover under the care of the staff in Earlswood in Belfast. The surgeons believe they have successfully removed the Spinal Arachnoid Diverticula (Cyst inside the spinal column) and he is doing as well as can be expected 2 days after such intricate and invasive procedure. We are all missing him from home.

6 years agoJackson is just out of 3hours 45 minutes of intricate spinal surgery. He is in recovery. The next 48-72 hours he will remain under close monitoring. He will be in Hospital until at least Monday. Send all your love and healing to him. My little warrior will come through this. 🙏🏻💖🙏🏻
