WHAT?
Over the next few months we will be doing intense training to complete a White Bear half iron man on 31st August 2019. This includes a 1.2mile swim, 56 mile cycle, and 13.1 mile run.

It will involve challenging open water swimming conditions, a relentless cycling route through the Glens of Antrim, a gradual ascending trail run up to Scawt Peak then concluding with a descent through the Sallagh Braes - are all part of your journey to the finish line at the White Bear Rock.

WHY?
1. We want to raise money for a charity in Memory of my Dad (and also Conors father in law). Marie Curie provide care and support through terminal illness. This charity believes everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left, however hard that may sometimes feel. Every £20 raised for this charity could pay for one hour of vital nursing care for someone living with cancer in the comfort of their own home. Thankfully dad was in his own home with all of us with him until he died. Lets help others in the same position have the chance to be at home too. 🏡👨‍👦

2. Andy and Anna Scott are working with Sports Academy, George, SOUTH AFRICA. This amazing organisation seeks to help underprivileged children, through sports and now providing education. 🚸💕

3. Andy and Kim McCormick are moving to PORTUGAL to work as full time missionaries. After learning the language at Coimbra university, they plan to move to the Algarve to specifically work with young people & students. As they believe they can make a difference in this part of the world, similarly to Andy and Anna. they have had to sacrifice their full time jobs at home and living close to family and friends 🌍 🙌🏼
