REST’s number one aim in being a good wildlife centre is to practice good conservation and educate people about some of Namibia‘s rare and endangered animals! Maria single-handledly created a small wildlife haven for rehabilitation of animals and birds such as the pangolin and vultures! She also aims to use the location for educational purposes, where she can teach the younger generation, land-owners and local authorities about the animals she is trying to save! As a non-profit organisation Maria relies on donations and volunteers to help run REST. Having recently moved to a new location means building everything up from scratch; Maria is currently looking for funds to build accomodation for her volunteers and I would like to help her! I will be running the GEAR 10k in May 2019 and really hope you can help me reach my target for R.E.S.T
