The Defford Defibrillator fund was set to acquire a device to be positioned in the centre of the village to give maximum coverage. Having got the device we have now obtained permission to use the telephone box which is in need of renovation. We have secured some funds and done some specific local fundraising, but need further funds to supplement this and in particular to restore the electrical power to the box so the device can operate. We have approached the local Parish Council numerous times for some help but alas they have not been forthcoming. We would like to complete the restoration as soon as possible as with an ageing population this would be a very useful addition to the village facilities. Any contributions would be gratefully accepted.
