Our dog feather unexpectedly got pregnant (she was booked in to be spayed the week after we found out) and has had lovely puppies. We were doing okay paying for things such as a whelping box, the ultrasound, puppy formula milk etc knowing that we will get some money back when we sell them and all was good. Feather recently was very ill, as some afterbirth was left trapped inside her and she has had to have an operation to have it removed. This cost £800. We can’t sell the puppies for 8 weeks legally and even then it will not be enough money to cover everything. My dad was looking into a second job and got really upset and stressed thinking about money. I am a full time student and feel guilty for not being able to contribute, I would love to give him some of the money just so he feels he is not so alone and take some weight off his shoulders
