    Story

Hi, as some of you may already know my son Danny is a student studying music in Manchester. Sunday 20th of January he had a terrible accident and fell 60ft from his balcony at his student accomadation, on arrival at the Royal Infirmary Hospital we were told of his horrific injuries both his legs were broken along with his left knee cap, both ankles and his hip, he has also had reconstruction on his face, jaw and has lost most of his teeth. But the worst of all these horrific injuries was his Aorta which is a main pressure pipe connected to the left of his heart which was repaired with a stent. Danny was taken to intensive care where he remained stable but critical on life support and he was put into an indused coma, as you can imagine this is a journey you never think as a parent you will have to go through, we spent many an hour praying that our son would pull through, in my own head I wrote my Danny boy a million letters and reminisced about when he was growing up, just a million happy memories not one bad one and yes at times I could smile, When the doctors and nurses started to bring him around out of his coma I was terrified but a mother's strength took over and I was surprised how bearable the staff and Danny boy made this experience, my son did start breathing on his own as they sat him up and he whispered mum which was the best feeling in the world, although Danny boy is not critical anymore we are still on a long journey to recovery.
With myself having to stay in Manchester and not being able to work as I live in Kent my bills are not getting paid and all my savings have now expired I'm sleeping in the lounge at the hospital and this may have to continue for weeks.
Anyone that knows me will understand that I find it hard to ask for anything but I need support and to be by my Danny boys side. For once I have to put my pride in my pocket and ask for help, so if you could donate anything to help me achieve this it would be much appreciated.
