Thousands of young people leave the care system each year, unprepared for a life of isolation, survival without the necessary vital support or important close relationships in which to turn to when most needed. A great many spend the following years trying to unravel their younger life experiences, with scant information or images etc, or people to reflect upon to complete their whole story.

Retreats are organised by Delma Hughes a highly experienced Artist/Art Psychotherapist, founder/CEO of Siblings Together Charity, a care experienced professional.

This is our charities 10th year of running unique programs for youth in care & careleavers; Our 8th year Creating a nationwide community of creative 'Careleavers', with the purpose of strengthening Creativity, with the medium of writing, visual art, poetry, storytelling, photography, cooking, mindfulness workshops, country walks.

Our retreats have become nurturing places where we can begin our healing, to truely see our abilities and strengths, to start to re-frame our life experiences, exploring with others the positivity and joy in our lives with renewed vision and determination.

We pay a low fee for the hire of a great venue:

We hope to assist participants with travel costs from across all regions of the UK and Ireland.

We purchase healthy food for the duration of the retreat: Have a mixture of cooked food and share much of this task by rota together which is central to the week.

Workshops will be led by skilled facilitators, ensuring they are respectful and mindful of our histories, fun and inspirational and hopefully life transforming!.

Each participant will experience a much needed holiday shared with others, feel supported and safe throughout. Enjoy a week of creativity and self expression.
