    Story

This June we will have a team of 10 riders competing in the WOW Cyclothon - a 72 hour non-stop relay race around the country of Iceland, covering 1,400km. This is Deloitte Y&NE's first participation in the event any we have a varied team of cyclists from novices to confident riders competing against the elements, many other teams and themselves. Expect to see some sleep deprived, tired legged people at the finish line!

    Our riders are:

Liam Armstrong, Sophie Atkinson, Kim Boxall, Tom Braham, David Breakey, Jonathan Crompton, Neil Dale, Andy Jacott, Patrick Martin and Stephen Twaddle.

We are hoping to raise as much as possible for two charities. The chosen charities are SADS UK and the British Heart Foundation, both of which are close to the hearts a few of the riders in memory of lost loved ones. All donations will be split 50:50 between the two charities.

The BHF funds over £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases. Stroke. Vascular dementia. Diabetes. Their research, is the promise to protect the people we love. Our parents. Our brothers. Our sisters. Our grandparents. Our closest friends.Find out more at: BHF Home

The cardiac charity SADS UK aims to save lives, providing information, funding research and medical equipment to prevent premature sudden cardiac death. Working in the areas of Research, Prevention and Emergency Care lives have been saved as a direct result of the work of SADS UK. SADS UK highlights the fact that young people and even children can be affected by potentially fatal cardiac conditions. SADS UK empowers medical establishments and organisations by providing information and cardiac equipment and placing defibrillators in communities. Find out more at: SADS UK Home
