Awaz FM will raise the profile of Dementia amongst the BAME Community in Glasgow, highlight to its listeners through a variety of programmes, fundraising activities. Increased risk of Dementia among BAME Communities: "it is likely that dementia will be more common among Asian and Black Caribbean elders. This is because high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke and heart disease, which are risk factors for dementia, are more common in these communities."
