Weʼve raised £583 to Save Our Stella our beautiful Siberian Husky

    Story

Stella is our wonderful Siberian Husky fur baby and has been in our family, from a pup, for the last 6 years. Around 8 weeks ago, she managed to get caught on some barbed wire and tore some of her skin. Even though she was taken to the vet, given antibiotics and the wounds became infected. She developed abscesses which had to be operated on. Since then she has been attending the vet every 2 days to get the poison removed and more antibiotics. The wounds were getting worse and the vet was stumped on what else to do so referred her to the Pet Hospital. Yesterday, they performed a CT Scan, which in itself was £700 but also took me to the max of my insurance (£3k). The infection has now spread over her complete chest cavity (but thankfully not her inner organs) and she needs to go through another operation today to get cut open and all the infected tissue removed. This operation is costing £3,000 and has to be carried out to prevent it spreading and/or septicaemia taking hold. There will be further costs for follow on care. Please if you have anything to spare, we would be so grateful if you could donate.

All Stella’s stitches are out and bandages are off! But she is so lethargic since starting the steroids, doesn’t even want to go out for a walk, but on a positive note her wounds are healing 🥰
