Hi everyone,

I, Andy Brown am running the Dumfries half marathon on Sunday 22nd September 2019 in memory of all babies taken too soon, and to raise funds for a memorial tree in Dumfries and Galloway.

This tree will allow parents who have suffered the heartbreak of miscarriage, still birth and neonatal death the opportunity to engrave a leaf for the tree and provide a place for reflection and tranquility to keep the memory of their loved ones alive.

Miscarriage, still birth and neonatal deaths are more common than most of us realise and there will be many parents walking beside us who we didn’t even know were parents. We would like to recognise their loss and provide parents with an opportunity to honour their little ones.
