    Story

    Facebook Page

We are final year marketing students studying in Hertfordshire Business School and as part of our assignment we are raising money to support this project. We chose Motiv8 due to the change they make by motivating and helping school pupils to feel good and confident about themselves. The Motiv8 team have made a phenomenal effort to support students in secondary school with low self-esteem, giving them a chance to improve their experience, and prepare them for a better start in their adult life.

MOTIV8 stands for M is for “Me”, O is for “Open mindedness”, T is for “Trying”, I is for “Interaction”, V is for “Valuing yourself”.

    A life changing experience

In 2016, Motiv8 programme was delivered in a school in Hertfordshire where 12 students were on the verge of exclusion. Currently 10 out of the 12 students remained at school and progressed to the next year.

A young girl didn’t want to attend school because she felt low about herself. After completion of the Motiv8 programme, her attendance went from 79% to 97%.

    Motiv8 Mission

Motiv8 seek to impact the local community in a positive and powerful way, providing young people with the ability to “feel good and confident about themselves” & be motivated.

    Motiv8 Story

Motiv8 was founded in 2016 by Jodeci Joseph and his fellow colleagues as a social enterprise that is part of Enactus Hertfordshire. The project is run by students, and is based on academic research in the area of sociology and psychology. Motiv8 was inspired by personal experience that grew from a team of 3 people to a fulltime organisation of 40 people and they are continuing to grow, currently working with 3 schools in Hertfordshire.

It is designed as a unique Programme to help young people overcome emotional difficulties, while being at school. It targets pupils aged 14-16 years old, and aims to improve social self-awareness, and identify their passion despite challenges they face. Motiv8 programme consists of five sessions spread across five weeks, each dedicated to a particular theme to address various aspects of self-perception.

    Why Motiv8 need Support

Motiv8 are looking to develop a new website which will enable them to reach out to more young people. As part of that they are working on the creation of an online course to make the material more accessible to wider audience. Please support Motiv8 and their Mission to impact the local community in a positive way, providing young people with a chance to do better at school, and in life.

    Thank you

Thank you for taking time to read about Motiv8 mission and we would highly appreciate any donations that are made. Nevertheless, we thank Motiv8 for providing information and Jodeci (the founder of Motiv8) for his continuous support and encouragement.
