GREAT SCOTTISH RUN 10K SEPTEMBER 30th 2018!

Hi guys,

This month on Sunday 30th September i‘ll be running my first 10K with Great Scottish Run! I‘m fundraising for a local charity Www.lifelink.org.uk and to also raise awareness for Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Support in which this charity is based upon, among other great things!

Suicide is the most common cause of death & is the nations biggest killer among men!!

Suicide takes the lives of 84 men EVERY WEEK!!!

Suicide may have touched your life or may have taken someone you love, a mate, a brother, a son, a father, a mother, a sister or daughter. You may even be a survivor!

Suicide devastates the lives of thousands left behind, this is why i’m passionate about raising awareness of Suicide Prevention!

I have been personally affected as Suicide took my dad 4years ago. This was a shock & unexpected to my sister & I. The after effects are everlasting! My dad seeked help before he got to a ‘crisis point’ but unfortunately this was of no use! I have chosen LIFE LINK as my charity to raise money for as it is local to my community (myself and my dad had no knowledge of this) and may just save a life!!

Suicide is such a taboo subject even in society today! We need to keep raising awareness & keep talking! IT’S OK TO TALK AND IT’S OK TO NOT BE OK!!
