Funded on Monday, 1st April 2019

    Story

National not for profit organisation DogLost works to reunite lost and stolen dogs with their devastated and heartbroken owners.

This year they would like to attend DogFest to further promote and raise awareness for the hundreds of missing and stolen dogs, who still haven‘t been found.

Sadly, on average 60 dogs a week are stolen from their families and these thefts often go unpublicised so DogLost steps in to help with sharing their stories with the public - whether that be through e-alerts to our ever increasing database of supporters, postering, dedicated social media support, practical on the ground support (in the case of missing dogs), emotional support and working with media outlets to try and secure much needed coverage to make the dog ”to hot to handle”.

This has resulted in hundreds of dogs being reunited.

This service is offered free-of-charge and is operated based 100% on volunteers.

We’ve secured a discounted rate to have a stand at this years DogFest as we want to hand out our missing/stolen dog fliers, talk to the public about the increasing trend of dog theft giving practical advice on limiting exposure for owner and dog and also do a bit of fundraising so we can continue to help these families but we need to raise the money to pay for the pitch and we hope you’d be filling to donate a couple of pounds to help us get there!
