Story
Jenson is our fun filled six year old son who has three older siblings aged 11, 14 and 17. On Jenson‘s 1st birthday we received the devastating news that Jenson has the life limiting condition Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is a complete muscle wasting condition with no cure.
Jenson will lose his mobility as his leg muscles ARE ALREADY wasting away and as the condition progresses, he will lose use of his arms and hands and will require ventilation assistance and encounter heart problems as the heart is a muscle. It is so hard to understand, as Jenson is so happy and loves life especially being around his siblings where he likes to be cheeky and cause chaos. Jenson loves hugs and i just cant imagine that one day he will lose this ability. We have converted our garage as an accessible entrance, wetroom and bedroom and due to building costs this caused us to have to pay double the quotation. We now need to build an accessible kitchen/living area with accessible toilet in our bungalow and want to achieve this before time runs out. Building work caused alot of stress and anxiety for our children and we have the extra concern of brick dust with Jenson’s respiratory long term health so the sooner we can achieve this the greater benefit this will give us.
We are looking for help to make this building project happen, so please help if you can.
