Dillan has a rare and dangerous condition called Aplastic Anemia. This has changed his life dramatically, in a very short space of time, along with the rest of the family who have not left his side. There have been ups and downs, but still a mountain to climb for them all.
Dillan has to undergo a bone marrow transplant and many other procedures to get him back fit and well. It has recently been confirmed he has thousands of doner matches worldwide, thanks to an amazing data base, but that is just the start four Dillan. It will be a long tense time for him and his family, with both parents having to take months off work to be by his side in Bristol, where Dillan will get the best treatment and care he deserves to make a good recovery.
We are a small number of friends to the family that want to show support to our friends, in a way that can also offer a little financial help during the coming months.
On the 14th june 2019 we are setting off from llanelli to snowdonia, where we will pich up tents to get some rest before the big day, at first light we will be heading to the foot of snowdon, where we will treck to the summit and straight back down to the bus, our transport will then drive us straight to mid wales where we will take on the 2nd mountain Cadir Idris. Again up and down and back on the bus. Next Breacon Beacons where we will set our eyes on our last mountain of our challange Penyfan. (we hope to do this in 16 hours wich includes driving time) you don't have to come with us to show your support, just assist us in reaching our goal, that is to help this amazing young man and his family, get to the top of the mountain they are facing. As that is a bigger climb than most of us can imagine.
